The basics of using Satie — what we promise, what we don't, and what's expected of you.
By creating an account or using Satie, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. One account per person — accounts may not be shared or transferred.
You own the audio recordings, practice notes, song ideas, and any other content you create or upload in Satie. We claim no ownership over your content. We store and sync it on your behalf so it's available across your devices — nothing more.
If you delete your account, your content is deleted according to the retention terms described in our Privacy Policy.
Satie lets you record audio and reference sheet music as part of your own practice. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights or permissions for any audio, sheet music, or other copyrighted material you record, upload, reference, or link to within the app.
Satie is a private practice tool, not a distribution or publishing platform. We do not review, endorse, or claim rights over the musical works you reference. If you believe content stored by a user through Satie infringes your copyright, contact us at the email below.
Satie is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. As an early-stage, solo-developed product, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that data will never be lost due to a bug, server issue, or sync failure.
We take reasonable steps to protect your data (see our Privacy Policy), but you should not treat Satie as your only backup for irreplaceable recordings or notes.
You agree not to use Satie to upload or distribute unlawful content, attempt to breach the security of the platform, or interfere with other users' access to the service.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including abuse, spamming, or security breach attempts. You may delete your account at any time from the app settings.
Paid subscriptions (Monthly, Annual) and the one-time Lifetime purchase are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, acting as Merchant of Record. Paddle handles billing, applicable taxes (including VAT/sales tax), and payment security on our behalf — we never see or store your card details.
Monthly and Annual plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation stops future renewals but does not refund the current period already paid.
The Lifetime purchase is a one-time payment with no recurring charges.
Refunds: If you're not satisfied, you can request a full refund within 15 days of your purchase — no questions asked. Contact support@getsatie.com to request one. Refunds are processed by Paddle back to your original payment method.
Note: for billing, refunds, and general app support, use support@getsatie.com. For legal, privacy, or data-protection matters, use info@getsatie.com (see Contact, below).
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Satie after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
Questions about these terms can be sent to info@getsatie.com.
